I personally think that it is cool that he left the drilled out door on the car. Looking at the web site, I don't know if he did this, but that blue "think win" sticker on the dash would have been cool to leave as well. Like Marlin said it is a really cool part of this car's racing heritage. [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Sometimes when a car requires "significant restoration" it can be prudent to retain some of the parts , pieces, or scars in order to prove that it is "the" car you say it is. Obviously, photo documentation of the resto is a must also.

Click onto ZL-1#40 and check out the resto on the dark green car. I found the bb x-member with "427" very interesting. I know that 427 and even ZL1 was crayoned on the fender extensions but didnt know it got crayoned on the x-member.

I wonder why they only drilled out 1 of the doors? I personally like the "think win" sticker and the drill treatment to the door. I wonder how much that would lighten a Chevelle door...
