You can't make a statement like that and not share any pictures? He must be teasing us. I think there are 16 known 68 L79 novas on the registry out of 1274 built, lets make yours number 17?

I bought a 68 L79 Nova from a guy I worked with back around 1979. He had rolled the car on an icy road leaving only the left rear window and the rear bumper undamaged. Parted the car out and sold the engine with the muncie transmission and Hurst shifter. Sold the 12 bolt rear end separate. That made a couple of local street rodder very happy. Car was red with black vinyl, non Super Sport.

The L-79 was not available in the 1968 nova SS. We had 3 of them in our area back in the day. Two of the cars are gone, but one still survives in Winnepeg,MB Canada. The cars ran good, but did not make the same dent in the competition that the 1966 L-79 novas did.
