The car was built to look like a 71 Z28. The original seats are still availible but the owner wanted these ones. The car is definitely best suited as a driver and a very nice one at that.

I am going to disagree. From the looks, all of the 1970 items added and description the car was built to look like a 1970 Z/28.
Your auction clearly states "original early production 1970 strato-bucket seats are original". Now you just said the original seats are available.
Plus Hugger Orange is not a 1971 color.
Since you said it was built to look like a 1971 Z/28 are you saying then that it is not a real Z/28??

My 70 Z28 has a floor mounted gas pedal. Did the 71 also come from the factory with a floor mount?

Plus I want to point out one other item that most people over look when looking at these cars.
The gas pedal on the 1970-71 Z/28's was mounted to the floor on a special bracket with 2 ball pivot points. The pedal was a hard rubber type simular to the full size Chevy cars.
The interior shot of the car in question clearly shows the wrong gas pedal setup.

Sorry Tony, I was writing while you were posting and yes 1971 had the floor mounted pedal as well. 1972 they changed to the other style in the Z.

The car seems to be missing both the floor mounted gas pedal and the rear bumper guards. Both of these were standard on Z-28's.

"The car was built to look like a 71 Z28." Jason. That statement and all the other indications on the car make me think you should be selling the car as a clone instead of a real Z28. It looks like a very nice car but if it sells with that description you might be looking at bad ebay feedback and just more headaches. Does it say Z28 on the trim tag ? I agree that the gas pedal should be bolted to the floor if it was a real Z28.

To be honest there is a lot missing from the car to be a legit Z/28.
To bad because it's a nice looking car, just not what it is being advertised as. Shame.

Charley,
The car is an LA car so it doesn't say Z28 on the trim tag.
I guess what we all have been saying is that the car needs to have a few disclaimers assigned to the auction.

I posted a car for a good buddy of mine and didn't realize all of these issues. I will tell him about them and make some additions to the auction.

Jason,
You're not the owner of the car? I was under the impression by your posts that the car was yours. If it's someone elses you are taking a big risk and possible negative feedback as Charley stated.

All issues aside it is a nice looking car.
