Never in a magazine that I know.
Was a late car 08E. I think that was maybe the reason Don granted the request. The original owner worked at a local Hotel and got to know Don. The car was raced at PID. Don't know what class. I don't know how long he had it lettered up. I am thinkin at least a couple years. He has a picture (somewhere) that shows it coming off the line at PID. He sold the car in I believe late 72 and the kid he sold it to smashed it up on Thanksgiving day. I talked with him and he said it was the worst day of his life. Put the car away for the winter and pulled the insurance. Girlfriend talked him into takin it out and lost it. Sold it to John Kunsak who planed on racing it but just repaired it and sold it. Vince found the car and bought it in the late eighties. I bought it from a guy he sold it to. Original motor car. I have some more pics but I will have to downsize them when I get a chance. Later...Sully |

Just noticed that it looks like a 970 SW tach on the cowl panel. Wonder if that was installed that way by Yenko in lieu of a real "hood tach?" Any ideas Jim?

I'll bet it worked for about 2 days mounted outside the car like that...

Hey Supercar,
--------Are you sure that "tach" isnt a fuel pressure guage? The line of the bottom almost looks like Aeroquip and that is a favorite place to hang a FPG. I had one there on "Red Alert"..........Bill S |

Thanks to Paul Cavaseno for sending me a copy of this ad for the car when it was being sold as a race car. Just wanted to add to an old thread.

All of the pictures are gone. Any chance someone could restore them?

That happened several years ago when the server was changed if I remember correctly. I will post what I have as they should all be the same shots. I restored this car around 2004/2005 and oddly enough only took about 5 photos of the restoration. Now I take about 3500 shots per car. Funny how things change.
Something else to note when people try to guess colors of cars on old pictures, the original shots were taken in its first years and appear to be a very dark blue when in fact they were a Fathom Green. Just keep that in mind when looking for old photos of cars you are researching. They may not appear to be the same color when in fact they are the same car.
