I first read that eulogy when I visited with Val and Dale last summer at their home. It is a remarkable testimony to the type of individual Dick Harrell was, to so many people. His efforts and the memory of his accomplishments continue
to draw a response that is quite complimentary to the man he was. Thank you for sharing it on this site. So far I have identified about 25 Dick Harrell owned, built, modified, or tuned cars that are known to exist. They included funnycars (5), racecars (7) streecars (13). This does not include the '67 Yenko that is known to have been converted by Dick in St. Louis, or the '68 Yenko "Drag Special" that was worked on at Dick's shop. (maybe these will have to be an * inclusion to the list. Just kidding Kevin!) ![]() |
