1969 Impala SS427 (Z24 option package) and includes the following:
- Frost Lime exterior color - Black vinyl interior w/ front bucket seats - Black vinyl top - Console - Tilt Steering - AM radio - 8 track tape player w/multiplex - Tinted glass - L72 425ci/425hp engine - M21 close-ratio Muncie 4 speed transmission - 3.55:1, 12-bolt posi-traction rear axle - Simulated wire wheel covers - Power steering and power brakes Sometime in the mid-seventies, circa 1975-1977, the first owner (1969 - 2002) had the original L72 engine removed from the car and replaced it with a small block. The owner said that this was done due to the rising cost of gasoline; he has no clue as to the whereabouts of the original block. I have notarized affidavits from the original owner, the mechanic/neighbor who performed the engine swap and the owner of the dealership that ordered/sold the car, attesting to it’s originality. Other evidence that the car had the L72 option: single 3/8” fuel line, original “CN” emissions sticker on radiator support and the original distributor, which was found in the small block that was in the car. The NOM small block has been replaced with a correct, date-coded NOM 512 “CE” block, correct 840 heads, solid lifter cam along with correct, date-coded: alternator, aluminum intake, starter and carburetor. The transmission is the original M21 w/ VIN stamped on top, the rear axle is original to the car and it appears to have the original spare tire as well. The interior is original except for the carpet and front bucket seat covers. A complete body-on restoration, documented with lots of pics, has been performed, bringing the car to like-new condition. Everything, including the 8 track player, works. It drives, sounds and runs fantastic. The only non-stock items: spark plug wires, radial red line tires, battery and SS exhaust. I will furnish all pertinent date codes and casting numbers to anyone interested. Asking $52,500. 706-602-5055 Here are some links to a few pictures, I have not figured out how to make them appear in the thread yet: pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 pic6
