The numbers were/are a slip fit in the gang stamp unit and would not show any misalignment. Here in Canada at least, mistakes were stamped out with an "X" and re-stamped. This was reported to the Department of Transport or similar for any future references. I've seen this done with truck frames many years ago. I don't know what the policy is today but I can probably find out.

There is no debate. The stamping is original. Also has the original VIN number on the pad. Original broach marks are very evedint. Yes, the pics are terrible, but thats what I get for buying a crappy camera. I listed my contact information if you had any questions. Thanks for nothing.
