Ok, just got the scoop from Mike Morgan @ Thorstad Chevrolet about the changeover from Hult to Thorstad. Mike said that Thorstad acquired Hult in the latter part of 1965, but the official name change to Thorstad did not come until they changed locations in May 1970 (moved roughly 4 miles - from downtown to out near the beltway).

i have 2 dale emblems.they both are the same.round,chrome with cross flags in the middle and say dale chevrolet waukesha.i found 1,when i find the other i will let you know jason

I have those ones. I think that they were a bit later (mid 70s?). Do you have one of the script style ones?? I had a picture around here somewhere, but can't find it right now...

Methinks that the swirl marks are from the emblem spinning around on the deck lid...hence the tape!
