I am confused too. There was no reason for the removal or change. I have pictures of it before I sent it to them and when I got it back it was a different tag. They messed up the body number on the repop tag. The fake tag was easy to spot and I knew as soon as I looked at it. They have not given me a straight answer as to why it was removed or replaced with a fake tag. My lawyer and I have confronted them with the evidence and they want to settle but with a non disclosure agreement.

Do you think they were planning on using your real tag on a fake car?

Is the P.O.P. offered with the Orange "cross ram" car an original, or is that a repop?

I second Lynn. Why would anybody remove a trim tag from a legitimate car and take a chance on putting the car's authenticity in question ?

Surely someone here can tell us if the P.O.P is an original. The address is suspicious for two reasons. That ZIP is Greece, NY, which is a suburb of Rochester. I realize in some suburbs, mail will arrived addressed to either. However, there is no 714 Long Pond Road. The closest home is 724, built in 1969, and it sits on 5 acres, making me wonder how there could be a 714.

Look here: http://www.zillow.com/aerial/DualMap...?zpid=30931967

Please understand, I am NOT saying it is a fake P.O.P. but would sure like an opinion from one of the experts here.

The only P.O.P. I ever owned got pitched into the circular file since I believed it would never be of any use. As Mickiey told Rocky Balbo: "Shrewd".

Lynn,

Mark Eisen restored the car. He is a member here. He should be able to answer any questions.

I don't know if the POP is real or not, but it is correctly coded for the options on the car, and it's been in existance since at least 2002.

Settle with a Non-Disclosure Agreement! I've been down this road
before and it almost always protects the guilty. Think long
and hard about signing an NDA as you won't be able to alert
anyone ( us included ) of the details. I for one do want to
know why they switched the tag so I never run into such a
quandry myself.

If you sign an NDA, we'll never know the details.
