George Lyons gave a how to on making a set of rolled tips, he made them for the Yellow Malibu trimmed COPO... if memory serves he cut a piece of steel tubing in half length wise then welded it to the rear edge of the tips then had them rechromed...

There are a few guys in the country making these that way today,and have been for awhile...Jerry B. does the best facsimile I think.

Yeah, repros were pretty much hand made and expensive....until Ground Up started offering them for under $100 a couple of years ago.
