Yes Steve Keech owned the car before selling it and C.Lillard I beleieve has it. I used original photos from SYC 8030 for the restoration and my cloned doortag says SYC 8031 (Details Steve took care of for me) ...The Yenko fender tags on the 8030 were like mine according to photos of the original holes and the giveaway car. Now there is an SS emblem on the fenders along with the Yenko and Camaro.

A clone it is but its correct down to every nut and bolt!!
It was a one owner little old lady car with ZERO rust !!!
Mina did 90% of the work himself including the bodywork and spraying it ! He even had a hand in the assembly of the motor! Not bad for a 26 year old on his first muscle car ! hes learned a ton in the past year and has more talent than just about anybody i know.
hes a young guy that teaches website design for a living and loves the car hobby too. You can also put money on it that he'll be blowing out 10's at the track real soon too !! this car runs !!!! we'll post some more pictures of it on our website soon !!! (at the track)
Way to go Mina !!!
see ya !!! Steve Keech www.carsbyss.com

Why was the SYC 8031 tag put in the jam?

Even the steering wheel is correct. What does the trim tag look like?

its a fake tag.... its a clone. Its ok to put emblems on a 69 and call it a clone but put a fake tag and thats not? its a clone. the nicest one you will ever find. But a clone it is. And it was built in LA...all yenkos were norwood cars correct? a clone. steve

Just curious about the tag. Most clones don't go to that much work to dup the door jam tag. Any reason why you chose #8031? I don't have any info on #31, so can't tell ya if that number is a red car or not.

Either way, if it's an LA car, that should be enough to alert any future - future owners/sellers/buyers.

Marlin,
I have no idea why we chose the 31 car. As far as i know it hasnt been found yet. As long as Minas name or mine are around that car it will be a clone and nothing else.
hes a great kid and wanted the best. He wanted it exact !
The LA VIN is a sure giveaway but you know how some people are... always trying to stir things up.
look at the subject title. He dosent want to get blasted for his car, Hes damn proud of it and should be !!
maybe we'll be running it at the next supercar reunion
showing the people how the next generation of car guys can do it too !!! see ya steve

Obsessive!

I wanted to take the word 'clone' back and get respect with this car. People call cars with Yenko stickers 'tributes' or a 'recreation' and it stinks. Going by this forum most agree. At SuperChevy the first question I received was "what the hell is that box behind the brake booster?"... We all know it as the SW tach box but most people don't. This stuff has become less of a secret and more mainstream but none the less Rick's Camaro doesn't sell door tags and the other hard to find parts which is why I wanted them for this car. This project started from an LA car because of the good shape of the body... If anything I should've been blasted for that but I guess its a good thing because it shows my intent.

Don't get me wrong guys freaking out its a real Yenko is a part of the fun too
