Re: Fake 1971 Z28 on eBay. Beware
I *thought* it was a "T" in the vin for z28, at least in 73 I am sure it is.

Re: Fake 1971 Z28 on eBay. Beware
The "T" is correct for a 73Z, and the "L" is for 72. The 72 396 cars were coded with a "U" in the VIN.
The 72Z that I speak of with A/C, is an exception to the rule for that year. |

Re: Fake 1971 Z28 on eBay. Beware
Not that I am aware of, but as I posted above I never saw the car. Mike told me that he saw the car, and that it had the "L" coded VIN....You can draw your own conclusions from that. I remember reading about an LS-6 Chevelle that was built with factory A/C for a GM exec...

Re: Fake 1971 Z28 on eBay. Beware
Mike emailed me and did say the car was coded as a Z/28 but he also said he saw no documents supporting the A/C.
Documents speak volumns when it comes to these cars. You have a one of one vehicle you better be able to back it up. Rick H. |
