It's also interesting that the first time the car was listed there was no mention of Motion. It is also interesting that the black strips on the roof and tail were missing in the first auction and now they are on the car in the second auction.

First Auction

Oh, and how come the black stripe "remnants" are on top of the grey primer (which is on top of the orange paint), and not underneath it? Look at the fresh black overspray on the tail panel below the spoiler lip (the factory spoiler lip, not the wing that was taken off of a mid-70's station wagon)

F this crap... Just a bunch of low-life scumbags out there trying to rip each other off. What it says about the hobby should make us all ashamed.

The worst part about it is that there probably is someone out there dumb enough to think about getting involved with this car. That car is a POS, and has been run hard and put away wet every time it was driven. To quote Mr. T-- "I pity the fool!"

My '68 Coupe was a radio delete car, yet it had the antenna AND the co-ax up through the console. I put a correct radio in the car but the AM stations were garbage because the car didn't have the ignition shielding.

I still have the block-off plate and the tank sheet on that car.

When I asked the seller, "do you have any documentation or history on this car? why do you think it may be a BaldwinMotion Vette?"

[ QUOTE ]

he replied;

"It is a Cal blue plate car so you can go back to the first owner. It has a complete Baldwin motion body but I removed the reverse gills and installed GM gills it can be changed back the motion gills go with this Vette. It is not a 435 hp engine? The rear wing is not a motion part (Vista Cruiser, maybe?) and it is not installed at this time but goes with. The hood is a GM L88 hood not a motion L88 hood needless to say it is a very nice example of a Baldwin motion Vette. Call me Wednesday and I will give you the vin and tag# So you can check it out Thanks.
John"

dude, pass the crack pipe!

Were the side vents actually seperate pieces as pictured in the ad or were the original vents just cut out and reversed?

I was under the impression the stock vents were reversed. So maybe this guy has a left handed screwdriver too?

I'm pretty sure the stock vents were reversed too.. and I believe were swapped left to right. If I remember....
