ohhawk,
That Invader is amazing! Does the owner have the GM Canada documentation? I have a set of the same valve covers with the Acadian 350 hp decal hanging on my garage wall. L79 Acadians had a different valve cover decal than the L79 Nova. It would be interesting to know the history behind the car. John.

I spoke with Bob (L79 Registry) and he had these comments on the cars.
"The black 1966 Invader 2 door sedan is perhaps the rarest documented Acadian L79....only 2 options...the L79 and a radio. It's a 3 speed on the column, no posi, no HD suspension, etc. It's in the Canadian L79 Registry. Some investigation has been done on the 1967 SD now on Ebay. It's not an original L79. Seller thinks it might even have been a 283. The engine is probably an L79 1966 Chevy II engine. The car was originally Tahoe Turquoise. The cowl tag is beat up, but probably NOT been messed with. Canadian tags were totally different than U.S......like 4 attaching holes (but only two used) and no mention of General Motors, etc." Thanks Bob, John
