thats an old wives tale. LOL. do you realize how many permits and hoops they had to drive thru to put that on the roof.? I'm involved with this kind of stuff on a day to day.. its not done on a whim.. and besides that platform had to be designed and approved way before it was put up there.. That had to be in 'design' for almost a year before it was done most likely
and like Don said. Its been there longer then 5 years too [ QUOTE ] The story I got on this car was 5 years ago this woman drove it to the dealership and traded the Challenger on a new min-van The problem was it has her husband’s toy . he was at work and did not know anything about it till he got home I was told there was a big fight at the dealership the guy wanted his car back and told them he was getting back no mater what so the dealership put the challenger on the roof to keep the guy for getting his car back ( what a weasel move) Today It must be killing the guy just to see it up there and my bet is his wife and him are no longer together Hell I drive by it at lest 4 times a week and it kills me seeing it up there I stop by at lest once a month to see if they would sell it but they keep telling me no way Who Know maybe they don’t have the title To me it a waste to have it up there [/ QUOTE ] |

I believe that Challenger is a 73 Rear clip with a 71 Front end. It used to rotate on the platform it is mounted on. Whatever the dealer paid for it, it has paid for itself because fo all the publicity it has recieved over the years.

The rear and the front are both 71. 1971 had a very distinctive tail light treatment. It does have 72 Challenger Rallye scoop appliques on the fenders.
In 72 they changed the front end and tail structures to accompany the 5 mph bumper setups which made the cars butt-ugly form that point onward. But it is definitely a 71 |

So, I know this thread is older than dirt and all, but does anyone else see the Mr. Norm's sticker on the back of that car?
