Not sure why but I always thought that the Aspen R/T was not a bad looking car for the mid 70's smog time. This one looks mint

It is in amazing shape. The paint is actually pretty nice for a Chrysler-applied finish that's 30 years old. Even the original decals are still crisp, no cracking. It was a well maintained car that just needed the born-with 360 rebuilt after it started making bearing noises.

[b] Saw this on The Cars In Barns site the other day - it reads as follows -
This is my step brothers 69 Camaro SS 427. It has been sitting here for over 10 years
that I know of. It is a factory 427 car.

Any thoughts on this claim?

Rear spoiler car with blacked out tail panel, and an SS hood? Never know!

Ran hard and put away DRY! 69 Chevelle SS, NOM, eng bay needs a little sprucing up, running when parked in 92, original bench seat, now buckets, Daytona Yellow, original paint, should buff right out, Vinyl Top. Owner purchased in 82 in west Phoenix not for sale because (insert the phrase here). Almost sold it last summer but wife talked him out of it, he had the car when they started dating.

I didn't get a shot of the cowl tag for obvious reasons, AZ packrats are right at home here:
