----Interesting 56/57 prototype! Notice the 58 trunk spears. Exhaust is pretty cool, but obviously that didn't make it to production.
----Thanks go to Lee for straightening me out on the history!!!.....Bill S Last edited by olredalert; 08-24-2021 at 09:02 PM. |

----I started to laugh at Shelby's hair until I realized it was the tree behind him. Still funny as it sort of looks like the tree is growing down to his forehead.....Bill S

Bill: It was your guess that the car was a prototype that led me to search that and found the backstory on the car. Last edited by Lee Stewart; 08-24-2021 at 04:51 PM. |

I thought I was going to have hair like that when I got to be this age. I'm not sure what happened. K

At least they didn't have to put a bump in the roof of this car to clear his helmet.

Seeing this photo I am reminded that they found an AMX walled up within the assembly plant in Kenosh (?) many years after production of the Javelin/AMX was completed.
They stripped the car down and ran it back through the production process in order to rebuild it. The car was in the Chrysler Museum at one point (I do not know where it is now). K
