Everyone around here runs polished Torque Thrust or GM rally wheels. I caught a hard time from all the locals when I was building the car. They changed their mind when I brought it out. Amazing how many I see now with black steel wheels.

Only a handful of people have picked up on that. Car Craft called the story "Round Track Rebellion".

Here's my '69 300 Deluxe SS396 that I recently purchased (Dec. 2). Though not a supercar it is a #'s matching(born with) 396/325, turbo 400, 3.31 1 legger 12 bolt. 106,000 original miles. The car was owned by the same gentleman from 1971 until mid 2011 when it was sold to someone that used it on a partial trade for a real estate deal to the guy that I bought it from(if that makes any sense). The car was originally Burnished Brown with a Champagne painted roof. The car was red when I got it.... so I added the black vinyl top..... I also added the steering wheel... as the original was falling apart.... I also added the wheels and tires... the original SS wheels are in the garage.

X2, I`d say there is less than 5 out there in this color combo....maybe even less. Especially given that it is 300 Deluxe Coupe Dan
