A question without notice regarding the valve covers for Dan, what's the deal with orange as opposed to chrome? Is it a 300 thing? [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img]

orange VCs is a personal preference. In my experience, all '69 SS 396s Chevelles (300s too) would have been delivered with chrome VCs.

I was going to ask that too. I like the orange, even if not correct.

Correct.....the previous owner that restored this Chevelle....did not have the correct valve covers to have them restored....so she was Sold to Mike with the Orange Valve Covers.....they have since been corrected.
