Does this mean there's paperwork showing the dealer did indeed arrange the Motion mods for the customer?.
Did the vehicle owner pay the delivering dealer for the mods or Motion directly?.

And nothing against Joel but the way his certification process works seems to suggest it isn't a simple matter of looking up a Vin to check what was done and more likely boxes of old Shop Orders and/or files of incomplete info he peruses trying his best to discern whether he had his magic hands on specific cars in question or not?.

They knew enough to distinguish the Pilot LS6 as "the first U.S. delivered LS6"
keeping in mind there is a Canadian-delivered car with an earlier build date, a fact which I believe only came to light after the MCR story on the car. Beautiful resto on that pilot car by the way.

This Motion car must be a bolt of lightning if all those mods are still in place. Wonder what Joel used for an intake - 163? Edelbrock?

Remember in the dicaprio movie about j. Edgar Hoover at the end when the secretary was destroying the lists of bad things he had on people, I wonder who takes control of the motion car list god forbid Joel the icon leaves for the drag strip in the sky? Joel doesn't release the vin list because he is and always has been a businessman and that list is very valuable.

I'm replying to clarify/remove statements added to my previous posting..
Regarding the added text, I know nothing of the Hoover show or any movies of recent years but do agree w/ concerns for Joel's info however again don't believe it's as simple as any original master Vin list of Motion cars existing in Joel or anyone elses' hands?.
Either way and cars aside, I wish the best of good health and happiness to Joel Rosen...long live the king!.

Thanks for the compliment Des, we appreciate any kind words or constructive ones for that matter....

Regarding the "first (known and documented) US delivered" that is because both Mark and I insisted on it. Even then it was only recently changed in their wording. Neither of us have ever claimed what many ads have stated as it being the "first" but continue to get blamed for it. Anyone who has read the MCR article saw where I stated, "if there is an earlier one, bring it on", and thankfully Oliver did. Only Chevrolet knows for sure what car was the "first". I always new about the Canadian car but so many people on TC stated it was a fake and I had a hard time disagreeing based on the build sheet and time line not to mention interviews with Fran Preve. Now I am friends with Oliver and have a new found respect for he and his car and because of this article I had the good fortune to meet him at MCACN.
