I think the BF's or Stones should work fine Killa! Gotta remember nobody on the street bought racing fronts in those days. We went down to Sears, Penney's, Pep Boys etc. and bought the cheapest tire we could for our applications. Can't make this Day-2 thing a science just make it the best bang for the buck as we did 40 years ago.

Mike, could you post a picture of these tires on your Chevelle?? I am curious to see how they look mounted and on the car... Do you have any issues with the tire rubbing the wheel well while turning?? I am wondering if I will on the Nova from what Sam indicated... Thanks...

I love the sidewall of these Firestone wheels. They remind me of the old Stahl and Firestone 500's

Yeah Sam, you were right about the 670 size. Seems to be one of the few to come in black wall and offer a pretty good fit on a Camaro or Nova.

What size was the original version? 28" and29" seem too tall!

yes, a little tall but if it steers on the rims you want to use, stay with them.

Is there a floor jack under the control arm? If not, the front suspension is not being loaded. I think you'll be fine with what you have. What size is it?
