When I was younger and immature, I thought it was a gross colour. Now that I am older and well ..... still immature..... I think that colour on a Deuce is beautiful. The one from Detroit that was at the 10th reunion cured me!

Thanks to all who have sent me notes to jog my memory! I rechecked my personal file, and we do indeed have this car listed - so not a new find (bummer!). This car is the first CG Deuce body produced under order #QLL531, it is the 138th Deuce produced of the 175. It was shipped to Thorstad on 7/9/70, and is one of 6 CG Deuces remaining (4 speeds and 2 a/t's) of the 10 produced.

Great to see the car get out after all these years! Love the Chevy II hood emblem, matches the 'Deuce' nomenclature better. Also, note the LT1 on the hood going in the opposite direction of the hood edge, always neat to see that done.

That's how you tell the "real" deuces. Couple of things threw us off on the description on this car. It has a warrenty motor vrs the factory born with motor, and the trans isn't the complete born with piece either if I remember correctly. (that could be up for grabs)
I've visited with the owner a couple of times. He's a colorful guy. Likes to go fast.

Yep - I checked my notes, and I have the same story about the engine and trans - and the owner! Good stories

Was there a standard factory 12 bolt gear ratio and code for a 70 Yenko Deuce,

Deuces were COPO, so not actually standard. Rears were CBW 4.10 exclusive to deuces, and the Canadian COPO Novas only.

Grant,

Come on down to MCACN and you can see an original owner unrestored Yenko Deuce in Sunflower Yellow.

We did have a few on display last year as well.

The Citrus Deuce was a cool car. I went out to buy it, while real, it wasn't as described.
