Dan Do you have access to any
more pics as i bought the #27
as the Candy Red B/MP

As I was in the Army/ Viet Nam I
never saw the car raced by Dick
Tutino.

The lace paintjob was over the
factory Fathom Green

Cool photo Dan.

That rounds out this story nicely.

The condition as I bought the #27 in 1975. Born with ZL-1 aluminum block/heads was running Edelbrock tunnel ram and two 4500 Hollys.
Chrysler/Liberty 4 spd and Dana 60 Diff (?? ratio)

Car had OEM wheel house, and compared to todays 69' Camaro stock class NHRA had terrible suspension

Why would someone cover up that beautiful Alan Green lace and gold livery with ugly red paint? What a shame they didn't just put their own name in gold on the side like the 'Alan Green' treatment. Car must have been stunning to see at the track. Thanks for the pics.

Yep, it certainly sounds like the real car didn't survive unfortunately but it certainly cemented the ZL-1 legend in history!
