It has happened to several people here not only on cars but parts as well and more often than not by lurkers and not members. Some people will do anything to make a buck including taking advantage of someone asking a question on a car or parts. You do have to be careful. Sad but true.

I don't even see where the orig post said he was trying to buy it. Maybe someone found it without this site and made a good offer ? I'm also not sure why a big collector is not a car guy. I think it would be nice if the orig owner got top price for his car as opposed to it being bought cheap and flipped for big dollars because he didn't know values. Everyone seems to quick to judgement on this one.

I think those people are called &quot;POSERS&quot; if I'm spelling that correctly...or is that strictly a Harley term?

There are also too many cars which have been purchased by a friend or acquaintance and then absolutely molested with bug bomb spray cans, reproduction crap everywhere, and quite often painted the wrong color in an effort to turn the car for a quick buck.

They sent a hauler to pick up the car and take it to Chicago. Apparently it is some big private collector and my fear is that the car will dissappear into this private collection never to be seen again. I am still trying to get the VIN. I am hopeing to get a copy of the picture of my friend when he was 6 months not 6 years old as I stated earlier sitting on the hood. He says his mother nicknamed the car the brown bee I'm sure for the color and the yenko &quot;bee&quot; stripe. From the above reply from Duece I guess it could be a Motion car. Hopefully I'll get some more info from this meeting which I will update here as well as the VIN........I hope his dad gets the money that car deserves. Other than that I am really bummed I could not get to see it......... </div></div>

Who on this site, has ever purchased a car of this magnitude from a long term owner, that let someone come pick up their car and take it to inspect it?

Why is the guy who purchased the car a bad guy? Who said he was a member here, or saw the post and stole the car out from under him?. Why is it people think think he was the only one who knew about the car? I have alot more questions, but you get the point.
