Heating the part will expand and open the molecules, then when cooling it shrinks and pulls on the paint to hold it with in the metal.

Not under their high temp side but on the firearms side they do. Under the specs for one of the whites it states: <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">C-140 Bright White is formulated to withstand elevated temperatures (~800°F) without discoloring. This makes the coating ideal for components for high- temperature systems.</span></span> so I would think it would work on exhaust but I have not tried it yet but I want to. I've gotten several samples from them and I like the look of the Bright White.
