No, its not my car. I understand the risk. He is a good buddy of mine. I am not as familiar with these cars as the first gens, as most aren't. It appears the car has some issues that need to be attended to. He mentioned to me he threw out the rear guards long ago since they needed replating and he didn't like them. This was in the mid 80's when correctness was not as much of an issue to my understanding. I had no idea about the floor mounted pedal. Sounds like I have some questions to ask.

You might want to consider updating the auction and/or stopping it. It could save you a bunch of aggrevation later on.

A real Z would have a factory rear sway bar welded to the sub-frame.

I see the auction has been updated to include the original seats, gas pedal, bracket (which I have no idea why it would be removed if the floors have never been touched) and steering wheel.
Seeing that the car was originally Classic Copper with Sandlewood interior, do you or the owner have the other original interior pieces?
Let me ask another important question. From other info I received the motor is not the original LT-1. What is the casting number off the back of the block?

Thanks.

Rick H.

I was/am very interested in the car. Why do you ask?
I am also vey concerned that whoever buys that car, whether it be myself or someone else, gets what is advertised.

The owner of the car built the car for himself. He hated the floor mounted pedal(I can understand why) and took it out when building the car. The interior was pretty roached where he got the car and most is gone at this point. Original seats come with the car but they are black. I can understand why the car is being criticized since it looks to be a put together car. I can tell you this is a very high quality car that came to the owner as an original paint Z28. I will get the casting number off of the block and post it ASAP. I can tell you it is a 73 4 bolt main block.
