Nothing personal,I just see this phrase wrongly repeated constantly.
It should be,"to all intents and purposes.."

Power to weight ratio.

Traction.

Yeah, some of those little cars can move on down the road (and track).

Not sure why so many traditional hot rodders are so resentful of these cars. Although not my cup of tea, they are the essence of hot rodding. I am sure a lot of the old farts driving the big fast cars of the day were resentful of the guys hopping up fenderless Ford flatheads, but that is where it all started. Probably thought it was sacrilege (or sacrilage).

I like the muscle cars, but I like all the high performance machines.

I had an 04 Civic SI hatch, great little car,but that 2.0 VTEC is a rubberband, like every other Honda.I thought about putting a hair dryer on it,but at my age I prefer a warranty. My new driver is an 05 Mitsu Evo8 RS lightweight(track model) This little nondescript maids car(per the girlfreind)with a flash and exhaust runs high 12's and will wax everthing except a Z06 in the canyons-in the wet can't touch it-
