I'm sure everyones aware of the impending storm to hit New Orleans. 50,000 plus lives could be lost according to computer projections, I pray those computers are wrong. My prayers go out to those folks.

I rode out a category 3 storm many years ago. I would not willingly do it again, a category 5 storm, no way-no how! My prayers go out to those in it's path.

I had two employees traveling to the area, I sent them home today.
Good luck to all those in the Gulf of Mexico area, I heard that the Mayor of New Orleans has ordered an evacuation. -Sam

This is really something, that we will all feel in this Country.
A Category 5 Hurricane aiming for a city that was built below sea level, with over a 1/2 million people trying to get the H*** out of there by the request of their own Mayor. 60-80% of the Homes will be destroyed when it's over, with it's effects reaching as far as Ohio later this week. This is the Big storm that New Orleans has regretted since it was created. The storm surge waves could be 30 feet high, with no place to go once beyond the levy, not to mention the possible loss of life. And the off Shore Oil rigs will most likely be damaged, adding an immediate increase in Gas prices of 30 cents more a gallon by Tuesday. This is also a Major Hub for Natural Gas in the Midwest, raising Heating costs higher by this coming Winter. |
