I still have the Muncie shifter from my Nova, but won't ever use it. Is it good for anything?

I have my muncie shifter in the garage, I take it out in the summer to stir the lobster pot on the grill.

Hey fellas, I don't think anyone is highjacking the thread here. That is what this is all about. One started topic could lead into several others. I really enjoy reading about this stuff and what others have to say... You always learn something new from others!!

Which style dueal snorkel did the 70 Nova use? What other vehicles did this air cleaner come on? Hope it's not as proprietary as the 70 L78 Camaro...

It is the same dual snorkel air cleaner as the LS6 Chevelle and also the L78 Camaro used.. Same one as shown in the photos a page or two back in this thread...

They cost a fortune also if you find one!!!

I thought about putting one on my 70 L78 Nova due to it being a later production car to supplement/swap the correct open air element I have on it now, but after seeing what those things go for I figured forget it!! They look really cool on the motor but in reality I feel you get better breathing and performance with the open element anyhow.

I thought about fabricating one using a 70 small block Z28 air cleaner but I was told it would not work because of the base being different due to the 70 low rise aluminum intake..

Alan,
It was our pleasure. I just got off the phone with Tom as I just wanted to check in and learned that the car made it to Iowa today instead of Saturday. All in all it went very well and glad we could help. That is what this club is all about as you recently helped me in my inquiries regarding a certain LS-6 convertible.
