My car and I circa 1979.
Wish I still had the hair! L60-15 Super Chargers and of course air shocks. 15X10's in the back. I really still like that look.

Actually Forest (dark) Green. Not an RS...full bumper.
It was scanned image from a Polaroid. Colors are a bit off. Just out of frame is my friends 1969 Z28. We used to tear it up back then.

Much like myself, you have owned your car for a long while.

Yep, awhile.
There are two of us from the old neighborhood that still have our cars from back then. The other guy has a 1970 SJ Grand Prix 4 speed. Funny what you remember when looking at old photos. It had clamp on Cherry Bombs and I always knew when I was shifting just right it would bang them on the cross member!

Love this Thread!!
Here is a pic from High School parking lot- 1983. Car was Rally green, white stripes, all orig interior & paint. I rebuilt 302 SBC and it ran mid 13's at 107 mph with 4:10 gear. It was a "CE" block from warranty work within first 6 months as told by original owner. I didn't know what "CE" meant until much later. Didn't care at the time! |

Some pics of my first car. I bought it in 1975 after I missed out on a deal for a 69 Camaro. I bought it at the age of 15 before I even had a license. Paid cash for it from money I earned by cutting lawns, shoveling snow and working part time in a party store. If my memory serves me correctly it was around $2,100 +/- $200. I had to have my big brother drive it home for me and then teach me how to drive a stick shift, 4 on the floor. Man I had some good times with that car!

Got an offer I couldn't refuse for my Nova and bought this Plymouth Satellite. It was an okay car but regretted selling my Nova. It was just too big of a car for me, nice back seat though lol!

My 78 TA. I bought it brand new as a graduation gift to myself. Paid around $7,600 for it. Those are my 2 younger twin brothers and their friends admiring it in the background. Like a country song I went on to live the American dream, get married have a wife, a mortgage, 2 kids, eventually sell the car and drive a junker to work everyday lol! BTW After about 38 years in 2013 I finally landed a similar 69 Camaro RS like the one I had missed out on in 1975. Good ending and NO I'm not selling it!
