I was born in Nuremberg and live now in Erlangen, about 12 mls from Nuremberg.

Sorry my English is not so perfect...

I own a 81 Chevy Caprice, and a 69 Lincoln Mark III.
Want to sell the Lincoln and buy a 65,67 or 68 Impala 4 speed. Very hard to find here in Germany .

Think I need to import one from the US next year.
So there will be a lot of questions here then.

You can try the Swedish market, always a few of them for sale. In some cases reasonable prices. Not so difficult for you to go and check them out yourself.

Here is a '66 283 vert €21000 http://www.xn--fyndbrsen-47a.se/bila...ala_cab/40036/

And here is a nice '68 327 vert for around €18000 http://www.usabil.nu/databas/Detalj.asp?ID=98767

Use Google translate on the pages to convert to German and then you go

Most of the cars here in Sweden are in good shape.

You could probably be better off selling the Lincoln up here too.

Good Luck with your hunt.

Hi Jan,

thanks for your answer, could be worth checking it out.

Thanks for your links, but both have automatic. I'm looking
for a 4 speed.

And no Convertible, only Coupe oder 4dr Hardtop, I forgot to write that.

You really think selling the Lincoln up by you could be better than in Germany? I mean, from here to the border are about 1000 km...

But enough of that, I don't want to spam this thread with that here. I think I open a new thread next year when I have questions.

Greetings Jack

Thanks Ken.

The condition of the Biscayne looks amazing, but that's not what I'm looking for. Doesn't need to be like new, good driving condition and a solid body with a few small scratches and dents is ok. Smallbock is ok also. Btw, a sleeper is great, but this one looks like a granny car for me with that colour/interieur combination .

My budget depends on what I get for the Lincoln, but about 20 - 25k $ would be my max. Have to pay about 30-35 additional % of the car price incl. tax, toll, etc. to have it street legal here in Germany...

Greetings, Jack

LOL, forgive me. It's a gorgeous car, and I would be very proud to own something like that!!!

But here at work we have bad old monitors and the colour looked like an ugly beige...

Watched the picuters at home again, and I have to say I'm sorry. Car is a great sleeper. But still out of my budget.
