I saw a '68 Impala, same as the one shown on the line in post 360 over the weekend, same colors, and the vinyl top had a 6 inch wide molding attached to the trunk lid. It's present on this car also. Half the width was ribbed while the lower half had the same grain as the vinyl roof and painted black. I was admiring it and the owner approached and explained that it was an option and the standard vinyl top was not extended down as far and didn't receive that molding. He claimed that option was extremely rare since I had never seen one, I bought it. Can't find that option in the option list so maybe he was mistaken??

Exactly Lee, thanx for that pic...even the same colors again. I thought that was a pretty cool piece of trim.
