Steve dropped off the Dominator from the Nova for a freshen-up last week, and I decided to convert it from a 3 circuit carb to a 2 circuit to help clean up its street manners. He picked the carb up Thursday and got it back on the car, then brought the car over today so we could fine-tune it in.

It was too lean on the transition circuit as I had it set up initially, so I fattened it up some and he took it out for a test drive. He reported a 90% improvement, so I gave it a little more fuel and sent him back out for one more test drive. Spot-on this time.

He wanted to get a few pictures of his Nova side-by-side with my Chevelle for a Facebook post. As his FB is set to private, only those on his friends list can see them so I downloaded them and re-posted them so others could see them.

He captioned his FB post: <span style="font-style: italic">&quot;Off to Lightner Dragway!!!&quot;</span>

(Those from around here in the `80's and `90's will know exactly what that meant )

More to come very soon.

It sounds like the its hard to say if the car will be more or less scary after the change. I think a before and after video is in order :-).

It will be more scary with traction...I can tell you that with 100% certainty. Eric, if I drive down to Ohio, will you give me a ride in this thing?

I have little doubt it'll be even more scary with a hook...but at least I'll be confident that the car's gonn'a go where I've got it pointed and not try to swap ends at 60+ MPH.

I just hope it doesn't start breaking sh*t now.

I've got to be careful about turning loose too many Banzai passes around here. This is a small, (relatively) quiet town and there aren't many places to let the car stretch her legs without scowling eyes peering on...if you get my drift. However, if you can make it down here Tony, I'll be more than happy to take you for a ride.

Just don't forget that 12 bolt...I might need it afterwards.

Exactly.

I don't want to end up like this (putting aside the fact that this guy should've LIFTED as soon as the car got loose, but bad drivers is another topic for another discussion)

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/93JhLRicARw"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/93JhLRicARw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed></object>
