A friend of mine bought a black w/black interior 69 L72 427 4 speed Biscayne new. He traded it for a chevelle a few years after he bought it and has wanted it back ever since. Next time I see him I'll have to ask him if he has any pictures of it.

Here are some of a 69 L72 convert that I have been considering buying over the years. Really rough body but about 98% all original driveline parts. I only found the radiator, fan/clutch and water pump to have been replaced and there has been some minor restoration on the car such as part of the engine compartment. A couple of items are also missing. Everything else on the car is original. Car was loaded up pretty good but unfortunately with a column shift automatic. Neat car none the less.

Here is a 67 SS427 that I used to own. When I bought this car I was backing out of the drive way with the car on the trailer when the owner came running back out of the house. Said he thought I should have this. Cool picture. The car is now fully restored and is a frequent visitor at the Fred Gibb Memorial Show. Note the neat plate and photo date.

Here is an interesting shot of a unique trunk emblem on a 69 SS427 Sport Coupe taken in Phoenix around 1981 or so. Bruce, maybe you know of the car if it still exists. It looked exactly like the Corvette emblem with the cross flags but I could not see where they were ever removed.

According to the wife of the original owner of Barry's L72 M22 Biscayne (one of the 6-10 M22 Biscaynes produced in 69) ....

Considering any kind of engine breakdown doesn't exist for Chevys by model, how can it exist for a tranny? All I know is 77 M22s were built for all big cars . . . am I missing something?

Estimated number of L72/M22 Biscaynes based on the total of 77.

I don't know where all these numbers come from either. The same thing happens with body production numbers for Z24 Impalas. Many various figures have been floating around for years, without any real proof.
