Chris all is good, and thanks for the explanation. Your post was just misinterpreted by Jerry no biggie. I edited it to keep the peace at the time. I will say you are a great member and your charming humor and informative posts are very much appreciated by our membership.

Since you can appreciate great drummers, listen to Marco Minneman as he is over the top great. Neil Peart is right there as well.

BTW that picture is priceless and you're right she gets it....

Let's not pick on the drummers of the sYc!

This shot was taken in my music room with my granddaughter last April!

The report he got back was that the Z was pretty beat and he should pass on it which surprised him because the car looked good in the pics and the write up had things listed correctly. So based on the report and site inspection he passed on the car....then found out 2 weeks later that the person in question, who he hired, provide a false report on the Z in question and bought it out from under him. The guy was some kind of ticked off and still is to this day...... I guess a "Z"ebra doesn't change their stripes.

Thats a really dirty thing to do. I can tell a story like this , but it went the other way. My father went to look at a 69 Z back in 96 that was for sale by our house. My dad wasnt sure of its authenticity at the time even with all the trim tags on it and so on. It was a heavily street raced car with non matching engine and tons of speed parts. Just after my dad got there , Bob Harris showed up and was looking at it also. My father and bob were very good acquaintances at this time. So my Father asked bob if he thought it was the real deal. After some poking around bob assured my dad that it was a true Z car, and promptly told him " If you dont buy it, I will". Bob could have easily lied and made a big profit on this car and no one would have been the wiser. And while I know that bobs character can come into question at times also.... on that day his ego and character proved to be worthy. And it saddens me to see that Jerry is not a moral guy as i hoped he would be. I have read many of his books, and in my mind considered him a foremost expert and a reliable asset to the community. Im sad to have read this thread.

In my mind Neil Peart is THE best from the best band ever. I listen to 2112 and am still amazed, more than 30 years later. Rush and Larry Walker, my favorite Canucks!!!

Wow on the young drummers, the pics posted have totally turned this thread around and into a good one!!!
Great on the Neil Peart thing too as I grew up w/ Rush music and used to go see them in Oshawa when they were a newer band doing shows with Max Webster and Wireless!.

There have been several Rush features on Direct TV lately. One was a concert while the other was a documentary on the life of Rush. Both were a great watch and brought back a lot of memories. Combine one of the worlds best drummers with one of the worlds best bassest and a pretty damn good guitar player and you get a great band. Amazing how three members can make such music.

At the risk of further derailing the topic..since the subject has diverted to young drummers and Rush, I thought maybe some might appreciate this.
