The build sheet and window sticker both say the car was built with a vinyl top. I'm trying to add photos, but it keeps saying they're too large.

I finally got some pictures to work. I'll post more later. Possibly to include a picture of the build sheet and window sticker.

----Ryan,,,I wish you the best of luck with your fantastic LS6. With coverage like you are getting here and elsewhere it may work out for you in Denver, but (my own opinion) you would have been guaranteed a better outcome At Dana's Indy auction. Ill be keeping a good thought for you in any event!.....Bill S

Sure! Luckily, fully optioned LS6's with 23,000 original miles go up for auction every other week. So... knowing the value is super obvious.

Here's copies of your paperwork.I don't believe it came with a vinyl top from the factory based on these as you can see.
As well as your dad mentioned it to me back then too.
You can also tell by the way the V/top 1/4 molding does not go back far enough and stops short by the rear window corners.
The B in box #44 stands for stripes~BLACK.Box #26 would show the Convt. or Vinyl top color,if any.
Also the rear defogger & vent it has now is incorrect and was added later on too.
This car was heavily optioned and stickered out @ 5K when new. That was a lot compared to others back then.
Your dad also mentioned he was the 3rd owner to me back then.
Do you have the actual colored original window sticker today?..Your dad explained to me back then on how he only had a Xeroxed copy,as the original owner still had it and would not give it up.
I covered up your VIN# for privacy.
