Cool, would love to own an L79 Acadian - very neat looking cars, any Acadian for that matter!

Sam is BS'in again, he's actually older than dirt

The same way that the Acadian is the canadian Nova, the Beaumont is the canadian Chevelle. The disignation for the ss is sport deluxe for both. I owned both, the beaumont was a copper 66 SD rag-top with a 283 buckets console car, nice driver. I owned 2 acadians a 66 and a 67, i've posted pictures before of my pro street acadian.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here, but, read the third question/statement from this auction. All REAL 67 L79 Novas were 325HP versions. Colvin should revise his book to reflect this, and oh yeah he should also add Norris Technologies as a manufacturer/supplier of "XT" wheels!!!

From e-bbay auction:

Q: Maybe I can be of assistance to you in selling your car. I own a documented L79 1966 Chevy II. Check the front of the block, passenger side, for a pad with the engine suffix code. If it ends in ZG, ZH, ZI or ZJ it's an L79. Anything else is some other 327 engine. The block and head numbers you have given were not exclusive to L79s. They were used in other applications as well. 5481 is the total number of all L79 Chevy IIs (all models) built in 1966. The 6 cars built in 1967 were 325HP, had cast iron intakes, Q-jet carbs and open element air cleaners...not all like the 66's. 11637 is indeed a V/8 2 door benchseat hardtop, but the engine could be any V/8 (283, etc.). Hope this helps. You have a great looking car and should bring good dollars if it's true heritage can be sorted out. 2oldtoos Jul-15-05

A: The number ends with ZA. Thanks for your help.
