There was the little boy who had been beaten by his parents. He wanted the judge to make him a ward of the Toronto Maple Leafs because they weren't capable of beating anyone.

Default Bashing

Keith,

My point is that if you put one of your cars up for sale here regardless of price or condition, someone is going to get all over it.

Good joke about the Leafs though....

There just has to be one answer to the bashing on this site. I get the impression that a major bunch here never grew up during the Muscle Car days of the 60's to 1970. I'll admit it, I'm a baby boomer and I believe there's alot of snotty little immature people on this site. I asked one question about a 70 SS 396 Chevelle and got my rude answers back. There's just no respect with kids these days, cause they think they know it all. I was driving muscle cars when some of the people here were just a twinkle in their Father's eyes. I just have to say one thing and it's "GROW UP".

Ouch...sounds like the pot calling the kettle black to me.

Weren't you just calling someone a "knucklehead" for installing hood pins on their '72 Chevelle SS, when in fact all '72 domed hood Chevelles got them?

I understand the objective, I don't care to nitpick cars to death either, but I certainly don't think this site would be nearly as helpful and informative as it is without the help and enthusiasm of many youthful individuals. Wasn't it Rob Clary himself who just turned 30?

I may have just been a twinkle in my father's eye when you were living the musclecar era, but I own, drive, and appreciate classic American muscle the same as you older guys. Let's just try not to make any sweeping generalizations or off hand remarks that are meant to exclude or alienate anyone from having the same fun you're having. There's room for both generations.

Wouldn't he be 7 1/2 years old then? That's how old he looks!

BTW, there's room for EVERYONE here, right?

Touche, yes you are correct. NO pun intended on the generation here. I'm here to learn as everyone else. If I knew everything then Bill Gates would be working for me.
On the other hand, I'm not in the market for a 72 Chevelle or I would have done more research on the 72 cars. My opinion only and others may differ, but I think the 1970 was the last year of the true Muscle Car. That's taking in the horsepower and tough body lines. I love all Muscle cars and still own and drive them and will till the day I die. Some teens out there know nothing and don't want to know anything about the old muscle cars due to the cost. I know alot of them are into the rice burners.
I still remember one Fri night in 1974 when I was in a 68 Hemi Runner beside a 67 Camaro with a 427 in it. I thought I was going to air born. Those Hemis are quick cars but MCReview proved that the 440 6-pack and even the 70 Buick GS Stage II was a quicker car than the Hemi.

My 2-cents is that I welcome any and all comments,..even the nitpicking variety. There's no other website with a membership that has the broad knowledge of all makes and models of vehicles. Yes, the "fan sticker" comments are a little much, but, in my mind, who cares. If you own a car and ask for opinions from this board, you'll get them, all of them, the helpful and not so helpful.

I own a 1971 TransAm painted Ferrari "fly" yellow with a Chevy big block(painted Pontiac blue with aftermarket everything and I smile knowing that some guys on this board are laughing with me, not at me about my car.

Keep those nitpicking comments coming.
