Thanks Sam, I am an Artist (draw and paint) and for some reason I seem to be able to mix colors to achieve the exact finish(shade, color, tint, etc) I am seeking.
I like things to not only look correct where you see, I like them to look right when you take it apart to service the vehicle. I dislike taking things apart and finding whole inner doors painted body color or tape lines everywhere, whole underdashes painted black etc OR painted/NASTY Window regulators, makes me wonder what other short cuts were taken?
Ideally when I restore a car I would like it to gain the patina the original finishes gained through time, however on a much less aggressive (retarded) basis, if we restored cars as they left the factory, (even using 50 year old technology) and took care of them as WE do, they would last hundreds of years.

Slowly...still accumulating parts...although I did replace these sweet wheels that were on the car when I dragged it home. ;-)

It's a COPO 427 car that spent most of its life in Ypsilanti, MI. Was in a shed from 1971-2005 and needs pretty much everything. It has about 9800 miles on the odo but you'd never know it!

Thanks, I have owned it for a couple of years but haven't done much of anything to it yet.

Tony is it a Malibu Trimmed car like George's Daytona Yellow Car?
Would be Bad A$$ with silver at the bottom, if it were correct!

No, this one is all orange with a white side stripe. Most of the original paint is still there under the flaking white. Honestly I wish it was a different color but it will go back to the original color combo anyway.
