Hi Tom,

Thanks for the invite. I'll see what happens next year. I'm personally trying to get my 70 cuda fast enough to make a run for qualifying for Indy next year in Superstock(watched this year and got the bug again), but if that doesn't work out your show looks great.(THANKS AGAIN)

Budnate,

I'll take some photos of the straight axle set up. Give me a little time.

Talk to yah later,
Alex

Hey, bring that bad boy to SCR10. Even though I may put a BBC back in my car, like it was raced, I am afraid you are out of my league. <font color="red"> It's been as quick as 8.70 back in 1967 at Cordova(60% nitro)and was one of the first cars in the 10's in it's original configuration.

I can hear the "Cackle" and Smell the Nitro from the Exhaust just looking at that Picture........Wow!!.......You guy's that are too young to remember these cars missed a real piece of "Racing" history........

Tom's car might get a big block.....but I get to tune it

Wouldn't it be great to get 5 or 6 of these together!

If I leave mine close to as is (Budnate's suggestion)I won't be doing any full runs. I just don't know how much to redo. I do agree with Bud once you start just where do you stop?

That car is soooo cool 65 is my favorite year Chevelle, Malcolm Durham and Dickie Harrell both built their own type of "Thunderbolt" 64 Chevelles, Malcolm made his 64 into a 65, Harrell changed to a Nova and retired the Chevelle. Leave it to Tom and Rob to get something else cool. Great job guys!

Malcolm's Chevelle, with dropped front axle supported by leaf springs. Note that the car still retains it's stainless trim, emblems, grille, etc.

Why they were known as "wheel standers".
