The fact that the original owner had the order sheet, window sticker, and invoice was unbelievable, he had driven from NY to CA in 69... vigil-light, VE3, dlx int pw, pt, ps, pb, L78, M21, performance axle ratio (included HD curve neck rad) other than ZL2 and D80 the car is the best equipped L78 conv I had ever seen. The POP was with the car however after we found the original owner & Window Sticker that is when it all came together as to it's documented rarity.

Funny that the original owners name tape strip was originally put on upside down! At least they got the other 3 strips on correctly.

I think I have known of that car since probably the late 80's but without paperwork and knowing Merle I did not know if it was real. Cool that you got the paperwork.

Robert just reminded me that Jim Dyer in Stockton Ca. found this car in the Penny Saver and bought it for about 3500.00. He sold it to Merle. I tried to trade something toward it but Merle made the better deal.

Around 1990 ? 89 ? Mind is foggy but Dyer is who got it from the local Penny Saver.
