Thanks guys!! I spent yesterday fabricating the exhaust shielding. The factory shielding which is originally an asbestos material and keeps the exhaust heat from radiating until the cabin and follows the path of the exhaust along the floors. There's an air gap between the floor and the panel. Not wanting to mess with that junk, I took a page from the Book of Old Hotrodding and used cement board coated in BBQ high temp paint. After fitment, there's a 1/4" gap between the floor pan and heat shielding and they'll be about an inch between pipe and shielding. Should be nice and cool with no radiant heat. Another detail to mimic what the factory did which nobody will see, care about, or comment on! I think I've entered into the "obsessive compulsive crazy" aspect of this build, so why not more details to make this thing over the top accurate? Dash controls are all complete too! More to come. Have to go to work! Cheers Dave |

Here you can see the factory shielding which is incorrect Red in color from my understanding. They were either natural or black. This is an over-restored, stunning, beautiful 507 done by RPM styling which I could only hope to emulate!
Cheers! Dave |

Bmw 507
Can’t remember if I shared this photo previously or not. I apologize if this is a repeat. I saw this one in June of 2005 at Lake Tahoe. It was participating in a ralley of some sorts. Can’t quite remember the details.
Thanks, Marty |

The details were as follows:
A blinding flash of light stunned the crowd as the time vortex opened and Dave drove his "507-1/2" through the wormhole from 2023 and parked it in the shade under the trees. |

Way cool, Marty.
Right, Steve! 507-1/2….that’s funny. I prefer 507R as in, Replica/Recreation/Regurgitation! Cheers Dave |

Well, since it is from the Dave's Bizarro World, it should officially be labeled as the Bizarro Murder Werks "Five-Oh-Seven".
