Kurt, Ive also heard it was more expensive to buy aluminum heads over the counter than the list price as a L89 option to a car , is that true??

Not too surprising. Parts always have more overhead costs, hence a higher price.
If anyone has a part # for the heads, I'll check the 69 price.

Kinda makes sense doesn't it? Deduct the cost of the iron heads and charge the difference in the cost of the alloy pieces.
