Default Junkyard Berger Camaro SS 396 Convertible

I apologize, I forgot to put this up sooner. A few years ago while on one of my expeditions I came across a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 auto convertible. 325 HP model by the tach. Red Car, Red interior. PDB car.

While that was awesome, what grabbed my attention at the last second was the "By Berger" emblem on the tailpanel.

No engine or transmission, and it was completely rusted to pieces. I still attempted to purchase to the car to no result. And so the car still is sitting as of last winter.

From what I can tell, it is just a stock car, not one of the "super cars". Heck, it might not even be originally from Berger. Still cool though

I did an article on the yard it was in, as well as a section in my 2nd Book on the car.

Yeah, the "I've got something you want and you can't have it, ha ha!" syndrome. Just like when we were kids.

It was even worse then that. Originally he said everything was for sale. Ok, cool! He has a bunch of cool cars I'd kill for, and other people. So a friend and I went back there to talk turkey with him. And we sat there for over 3 hours listening to his stories about how his Fox Body Mustang was the fastest car ever... and in the end he decided nothing was for sale.

Very aggravating.

You made the mistake of getting his juices flowing.

I think he was just happy to have some people to talk too and listen to his stories.... for about 3 hours.
