Spring ring battery cables
What is the best way to "Clean" NOS battery cable. I'm talking about the spring ring head
that attaches to a battery. The head part is clean but faded and want to bring back to new looking. https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5tnu3ulc.jpg https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6flmu8f4.jpg https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7olgrsvo.jpg Dave 67 Nova Boy |

How about vapor blasting instead of glass bead? Will baking soda bring back to new finish?
Thanks for the ideas!! Dave 67 Nova Boy Last edited by 67 Nova Boy; 05-28-2019 at 06:45 PM. |

That’s an original!! I’d leave it as is. As soon as you go messing with the finish, it may never look original again.

I would leave that alone also.

Maybe try one of the above suggestions on the side that goes against the battery, that way if it messes it up you'll never see it once installed.

I had a distributer done at a vette resto shop, I believe he used walnut shells to blast it, it just cleaned it up, it looked great.

With lead you could use a tooth brush and some comet or bar keepers friend powder polish or even baking soda, which would neutralize any acid too.
