Default Oil @ a 7 yr low per barrel

Who is buying race fuel or higher octane fuels?

What order quantity is best for residential home storage/use?

I have a local oil and fuel distributor but I'd imagine he maybe too local to support the wide spread domestic reach of the community here. Would you guys be interested in a group purchase if I can get this to work?

Let me know,
Dan

I talked to a guy today that said his race gas is still 7.50 a gallon.

You need a semi tanker load to get a good deal on fuel. Our big farm savings has been bulk propane. This was the cheapest we ever got this year.

I get it locally for 7 bucks a gallon, 110 octane, plus I have a connection to get aviation fuel for around $6.50 a gallon which is 100 octane. This is at a local, small airport. The aviation fuel won't go bad if it sits...

Actually I've been experimenting with 100LL in my Chevelle with positive results so far. If you want to try 100LL I'd say you're safe to do so.

This is a subject I plan on getting into in the near future.

Locally, 100LL prices have pretty much followed along with pump fuel trends.

Interesting. There is a small regional airport right down the street. They have self serve 100ll at $3.99. I am assuming I can't pull the Z/28 up to the pump and start pumping.
Where do you guys get the 100ll, and what are the restrictions on fueling?

You can't pull your car up and fill it up. AV gas has no road tax on it so technically you're not "allowed" to run it on the street. ( )

Bring a couple 5 gallon fuel jugs, tell them it's for your race car and you should be good to go.

I would imagine the retail mark up on VP fuel where I get it is about 75 cents per gallon. It wouldn't be worth the time and shipping to try to avoid that.
