Default 1970 L78 engine

This is a running L78 I am pulling out of my 69 L78 chevelle conv. The block is a CE block that was put in my car under warranty. The block casting number is 3939854 dated F670. The motor runs perfect with no problems I am only pulling it out to put a correct motor back in. The dist, carb, alt, water pump, fan and smog is original to the car so that is not being sold.

long block with intake 4400.00
long block no intake 4000.00
shortblock 3000.00

I have driven John’s 1969 L78 Convertible Chevelle numerous times, she drives and performs just as she should without any issues

I never abuse another man’s pride and joy.....unless the car owner tells me otherwise.
John would agree with me

Yes that is correct Chuck. I think people would rather have a correct dated motor than the CE.

If the CE engine is the actual one installed under warranty, I would rather have that than a "dated' engine with another VIN on it. That engine is part of the history of the car...to me that means more.

You should consider keeping it with the car...IMHO.

good luck either way.
