Thanks guys!! Yes, I sleep.....that’s the hours between 2am and 3:15am.

I was thinking of prioritizing and dividing my day to get more done. Half day working on the Ranch, half day working on the Cuda, and the other half day working on the 507, with the last half of the day posting up what I did the last three halves of the day! Then I realized my math was off and that there’s not four halves in a day, so that last half might have to go

I also decided to go get checked out in a Cherokee today since I’ve got so much free time that I’m scrounging for things to do

More to come......

Cheers
Dave

PS; Bill.....coffee.....5 gallons.....

You forgot about the other half of the day when you are working on the calendar.

Don't forget that Dave is also the guy flying those UFOs spotted in the recently released govt videos.

That's his secret - he's a time traveling, autobodyman from the future.

Happy Memorial Day fellow Yenkonians!

With this past week full of administrative duties with my folks settling in next door, it rained today so I was able to resume Cuda duties since Ranch stuff can't happen in the rain!

I finished the final metal work on the fenders with two patches....well, three.... needed so now Crusty is no longer Crusty! Woohoo! I also finished the stripping of the FC7. Liquid stripper followed by a putty knife followed by an N95 mask (the real reason you need one! ) followed by 80 grit. You can see my enthusiasm for bubbling paint and if you think that's impressive, you should see me watching paint dry!

So here we are in two coats of DP. One might note that the fenders aren't aligned nor is the front fascia panel. And one would be correct! These have to come back off to get epoxy on the backside and then I'll bolt them back on along with the hood and valances once those are epoxied too. That way, just like the dip tank would do, epoxy all over and then overspray with FC7 to finish! With fresh bare metal I just wanted to get the exterior in epoxy today. Alignment later.

Now, Steve isn't paying me for all this extra small detail work. Actually, Steve's not paying me for ANY of this work! But this is how the SuperDave machine rolls. Actually, I don't know what that means, but while we figure that out, enjoy the pics!

This week will be window channel clean out, door jamb stripping and priming along with tail panel and trunk driptray stripping!

Cheers
Dave

And here's the primer! Had to upload in another reply since for some reason it jammed the site loading all these photos!

Cheers

And then of course, one has to wonder what happened to all that paint. Well, here's the remnants all over the floor, my tools, and up my nostrils. I felt like I was trapped in a Prince movie! Like a purple haze.... "I never meant to cause you, any sorrow.....I never meant to cause yoooooouuu any pain" Yeah.. you know what I'm taking about.

Cheers
Dave

Purple Haze was Hendrix, Purple Rain was Prince. Nice work Dave!

Nice progress SuperDave.

The floor looks like Violet Beauregarde just stopped in for a visited.

And stop poking at that bubbling paint! You'll put your eye out!

Money coming next week, now that all the parts we ordered actually arrived down there after multiple reorders due to damage, losses by shippers, and one downright theft by Fedex ground!

You’re moving at Ludicrous Speed, man!!!

Yes, I think I meant to write purple rain. But since my head was full of purpleness, thoughts were rerouted and what I was thinking wasn’t typed and what was typed was what I wasn’t thinking...er...something like that

Lots more bumps and dings in this old gal than I expected. That will delay paint by, oh, I’d say at least a few days. Of course all that original Bondo is gone and I’ll try and bang out most of those dents.

More this week!! I’m anxious to fit those Elsa...elistom...elastic....rubber bumpers!!!

Cheers
Dave
