Default '62 Bel Air Bubbletop "Recreation" - what is this?

Neat car but the "recreation" term confuses me - is this a 2-door Bel Air post sedan that had a bubbletop roof replacement? VIN suggests it began its life with a B-pillar. In any case, cool car.

Not certain how they did that, but those are some trick valve covers !! They do, almost, look like W covers with the air cleaner on.

Many 62 bubbletops are clones. Created from 2 door sedans with a 61 Impala roof, doors and pillars. All the side trim is the same between a 62 2 door sedan and bubbletop. This car sold on ACM a month or so ago.

This one is described as an Impala (Impala 2dr HT serial number) with a roof swap.
