1969 Nova L78 M22 In Search of Owner !! VIN # 484917 Willow Run Michigan
1969 M22 with a VIN# of 484917 for a 1969 Nova SS 396 L78, Stamped P9B13C (Muncie 1969 February 13 M22) VIN Stamp 19W484917 Willow Run Michigan Production Nova.
Looking for the owner of the car for now before I place it in the For Sale Ads here on Yenko.Net in a few weeks, for now NOT FOR SALE as I want to see if this car is still around. Any help much appreciated.

Whole VIN 114279W484917 best included for anyone out there ever Googling to find. Not that it helps also you likely know already but Rick posted this Trans being in a 'Velle 10+ years ago. Best of luck finding the car! ~ Pete .

I don't recall saying it was in a Chevelle as I too was trying to find the rightful owner many years ago before I sold it and thought it belonged to a 69 L78 Nova owner based on the W code. Hopefully it can be mated to the car again some day.

My apologies Rick, thought I'd read a 2011 thread w/ you spotting it in a 'Velle but only see a 2016 result now? Not sure what happened, sorry again and here's to those of us raised w/ aluminum cookware? ~ Pete .

OK Im confused. I thought 69 Nova used the small "584" tailhousing and 27 spline mainshaft, This trans has a large "764" tailhousing and 32 spline mainshaft. Also doesnt 69 M22 transmissions use the Lisle Magnetic logo on plugs?

Ha! So you did Pete! Yours is due to aluminum, mine is due to old age! Lol

Rick, Do you think someone swapped the main shaft and tailhousing to put in the Chevelle?
Thanks. Mike Thorpe |
